Course structure and modules

Module Description
Common Foundation Module Focusing on Design Thinking and Problem Solving, Design Communication and Visualization, Materials, Technology and Sustainability, Design History and Theory, Cultural and Social Context in Design.
Space Planning and Layout Design Understanding spatial arrangements, ergonomics, and circulation. Working with scale, proportions, and layouts.
Lighting Design Exploring the impact of lighting on interiors, from aesthetics to functionality.
Materials and Finishes In-depth study of materials used in interior design, with a focus on texture, durability, and environmental impact.
Immersive Environments and Experience Design Designing multi-sensory spaces, integrating sound, light, and touch to create meaningful experiences.
Sustainability in Interior Design Focusing on sustainable and eco-friendly practices in interior design, including material choices and energy-efficient designs.
3D Modeling and Rendering Introduction to 3D design tools like AutoCAD, Rhino, and SketchUp for creating realistic interior models.
Human-Centered Design in Interiors Applying human-centered design principles to interior layouts, focusing on user needs and behavior.
Capstone Project / Internship Developing a complete interior design project, including concept, research, and final presentation.

How you study

The objective of the program is to integrate the design thinking process with the necessary technical skills, while keeping students updated on the latest industry requirements. Academic and industry demands are seamlessly integrated into the curriculum, making this program one of its kind in the country.

The modules are divided into Core, Enrichment, and Complementary categories, based on the nature of the learning experience required by the student.

Modules are delivered as Theory, Studio, or Skills sessions, depending on the knowledge, competencies, and applications involved.
